Christmas Lecture – Ann Chilcott

Tuesday 29th December 2020 7.30pm via Zoom – link will be sent to you

Ann Chilcott has been keeping bees for 16 years in the Scottish Highlands.

She started out with a plan to keep just a couple of colonies in the garden but it snowballed.

She was bitten by the bug and developed bee fever for which there is no known cure to date.

She is interested in teaching, beekeeping and writing and blogging about bees.

Tonight’s presentation is about her visit to Andrew Abrahams on the island of Colonsay
to learn about the native honey bee reserve and managing 50 colonies on a windswept
marginal west coast island.
