Honeybee Experience Day

An introduction into Honeybees, why we keep them, and what it’s like inside the hive!

Our Honeybee Experience Day includes a practical hands on experience handling honeybees, theory and understanding of honeybees and how a colony works. There will be drinks, snacks and an opportunity to meet other likeminded enthusiasts and experienced beekeepers.

** August 2023 Date Added**

We welcome you to join us for our Honeybee Experience Day.

Aimed at those who are unfamiliar with the workings of a beehive and have never handled bees before.

Our Experience Day makes a great gift experience too, so if you know someone who is fascinated with bees, why not make their day and buy a Gift Voucher for them to come and join us.

Places are now available on Sunday 13th August at our apiary on the National Trust, Shugborough Estate, Milford, Stafford ST17 0UP from 10.30 to 2.30 pm.  You will spend time in the apiary, open an active colony of bees and examine frames of brood, honey, and pollen, and hopefully find the Queen.

The cost is £65.00; if you would like to attend, please email ssbka-mail@southstaffsbeekeepers.com
