The South Staffordshire & District Beekeepers’ Association’s AGM (Annual General Meeting) has to be held by the end of March each year. This is the key meeting open to all the membership to elect members of the Committee.
Each year we elect a number of people to do specific officer roles and general committee members. All committee members must be nominated and stand for election each year. Officers must stand down from their officer role after 3 years and normally committee members are expected to step down after 3 years in the same role.
Please note: all Officers and Committee members are elected for a period of 3 years but still have to be re-elected each year.
You can nominate any member of the association. All we is ask is that you have a willingness to get involved and work as part of a team so that we can make the club work as efficiently as possible and in the interest’s of all members, and of course the bees!
At the AGM we will consider written and verbal reports from the officers. Additionally the AGM can make changes to the rules and constitution as required. The AGM also recognises the achievements of individual members and groups of members within the Association.
